 WELCOME TO THE PATH

The church began as a movement, not a place—a Spirit-empowered people shaped and sent by Jesus. At our church, we believe following Him means moving not from fear but toward promise. That’s why we invite everyone into a simple, intentional rhythm: worship, grow, serve. This is how transformation happens—not overnight, but over time. It’s not about striving harder; it’s about aligning with what God is already doing. The Path starts with this question: What truly drives your life? At the heart of every program here at FPC Thomasville is the hope that you and your family would mature in faith, be encouraged in the gospel, and be equipped to share its life-changing message with others.

ROOTED WORSHIP

We worship not to escape the world but to remember who we are in it. Every week, we gather around God’s Word—not our preferences—and re-anchor our lives in something bigger than ourselves. Rooted worship reminds us that our identity is not something we invent, but something we receive. In a world of curated images and shifting truths, this is where we stop performing and start belonging.

RELATIONAL GROWTH

Spiritual growth doesn’t happen by accident—and it doesn’t happen alone. That’s why we create space for honest, Christ-centered relationships where you can be both known and challenged. We all have blind spots, and God often uses others to help us see what we can’t on our own. Growth here isn’t just about gaining knowledge; it’s about becoming more like Christ, together.

REDEMPTIVE SERVICE

There’s a difference between staying busy and living with purpose. We believe every person is made to make a difference—and that real joy often begins where comfort ends. Whether you're serving across the street or across the world, redemptive service is about presence, not pity. We don’t outsource compassion; we show up. And when we do, we discover that our lives are most alive when they’re poured out.

THE PATH VIEWBOOK

This booklet is an overview of our priorities. Like a trellis supports a vine, every brick on our campus and every event on our calendar exists to support people—growing in faith, rooted in Christ.

You’ve probably heard the old rhyme: Here’s the church, here’s the steeple, open the doors and see all the people. Some still think of church as a place to go—a quiet perch to recharge before Monday. But the Church didn’t begin as a place. It began as a movement—a Spirit-led community on mission, growing and reaching people. And movements don’t drift aimlessly. They move with purpose. They ask hard questions. They seek clarity so that energy and effort are not scattered but focused. That’s why, a year ago, our session paused to ask two vital questions:

  • What’s our plan to form followers of Christ?

  • Is it working?

We are pilgrims on a path. But without clarity, it’s easy to settle—or even wander. That’s why we’ve begun naming the pattern and path of discipleship in our life together. You’ll start hearing terms like the Movement Mandate and the Effective Minimum Standard. These aren’t buzzwords. They’re tools—tools to help us stay aligned, not just as an institution, but as a movement. This viewbook is a window into that alignment. We hope it will clarify how our mission, values, rhythms, and vision can lead you to trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight (Prov. 3:5–6).

Common to both services is warm fellowship, rich worship and vibrant Gospel preaching and teaching. Whichever your preference, we are blessed to participate in both with excitement and authenticity. Come as you are!

We grow in relationship with God and in fellowship with others. At FPCT, there are a variety of ministry groups to provide you with an opportunity to foster community and spiritual growth.

A time for Sunday school is set aside each week during the 10:00 hour (with one class exception). Through a variety of means and leader styles, the truths of Scripture are studied among like-minded believers. Sunday school offers the opportunity for people to identify, invite and connect with other adults to create an ongoing Bible study experience.

Life Groups are a vital part of church membership! Joining a Life Group is a fantastic way to connect with others in our congregation while seeking to grow in our faith. Over the course of the school year (Fall and Spring semesters), Life Groups (typically consisting of 8-10 individuals—both couples and singles) meet twice a month in members’ homes at a scheduled time which best fits each individual group.  Upon sign-up, your group leader will reach out to identify the best day and time for all group members.  We hope you will join a Life Group!

FPC men’s ministry seeks to engage men within the context of community through common interests and biblical teaching for the purpose of supporting each other along the pathway of discipleship. Click the link below to view our Men’s Small Groups:

Women's ministry is a community of women who gather to fellowship, mentor, and connect in a safe, supportive environment. Our Women’s Ministry exists to support women of all ages and stages as they engage in discipleship and service. Click the link below to view our Women’s Small Groups:

FPC Student Ministries partners with families to reach and equip students for Christ. We are committed to exposing students to the gospel of grace, and equipping them to respond faithfully with love for God and neighbor — all through a relational discipleship model.

Wednesday night small groups are the foundation of our ministry. A faithful team of adult leaders are committed to reaching and equipping our students with the gospel. Groups gather every Wednesday in the Student Building or host homes for dinner, hang-out time, Bible study, and prayer.

Children’s Ministry serves children birth through fifth grade and their families, providing Sunday School, mid-week discipleship, and family events throughout the year. We encourage and equip parents with tools and resources to help them be the primary spiritual influencers in their homes, and we commit to engage our kids with God’s truths through relevant Bible teaching, music, scripture memory, small group discussion, large group worship, and age-appropriate activities.

All children, including those who have special health and/or developmental challenges are welcome. FPC has developed age-appropriate environments where your child will grow and experience God’s love, as well as learn His word in a program designed especially for them.

Our mission is to to partner with families in raising the next generation of believers to live and love like Jesus.
